Ascent - 2017

As a programming project for school I wrote this little inspired clone in C++ with the help of SDL2. It’s a fairly simple project but has some nice litte quirks. All art (level geometry, enemy ships, even the UI) is procedurally generated, a custom 3D A* algorithm was used to connect the rooms with tunnels for the endless levels, and OpenGL 4.3 is heavily underutilized for the few particle systems that run in compute. Oh, it’s also a deferred renderer (not that it makes much of a difference here) with the inevitable cheap bloom.

Irregular Adaptive Shadow Maps - 2014

You can never have enough acronyms so I decided to introduce a new one by making up this shadow mapping algorithm for my Master Thesis work. DX11 is used to render a multi-resolution shadow map that adapts based on the scene rendered.

Airborn - 2008

This great project started as an Unreal mod that transitioned to UDK and later spawned some prototypes in Unity.
